Choosing The Right Bin and Right Waste Type

The amount of rubbish that is left behind after a home improvement project or an office refurbishment can be monumental. It is essential to know which size of rubbish bin you are going to need. Markz Rubbish Removal offers a range of different sizes, and here is how to choose the right one for you.

If you have recently had some landscaping or decided to give your garden a refresh, there are also a number of green bin options. Green bins are only available for green waste, household rubbish bins can have a variety of rubbish.

Choosing the right skip to fit in all of your leftover waste is an important decision.

Here are some quick questions to help you choose the right bin and right waste type for your project.

  • Our bins are measured in 3 m². This means that this is the Length x Width x Height. This will give you an indicator of how much they can hold in terms of rubbish.
  • You will also need to think about how many days you need at the skip for, most people will only need a skip for three days or less as it is usually the last part of the job.
  • Do you also need some hands-on labour? This will help determine the final price for your service.
  • Are you going to need household only, or garden and household?

What skip do I need?

Often for smaller household removals a 3 to 4 m³ household rubbish will be best. If you are however considering a full office refurbishment or you are doing a complete redesign or more on your home, or a larger more intense remodelling, then a 6 m³ household rubbish trailer bin will be the best option for you.

If you are doing your garden only, then you should ensure that you hire a green waste bin. For large trees and an excessive amount of green waste, the 6 m³ is going to be the best thing for you. These all include a three day hire, GST, delivery and pick up.

Is There a Risk to an Overfilled Bin?

Unfortunately, many people underestimate just how much they are going to get rid of. Overfilled bins and skips are a problem for the safety of our employees and other road users.

An overfilled bin means that items can fall onto cars and people. It is better not to take the risk, and hire a trailer bin that is too big rather than too small.

In general, when hiring a bin in Frankston for garden waste, including trees, dirt, sand, grass, and other everyday garden items, it is best for you to hire a green waste bin. These are for green waste only, and cannot be used for other household or office items.

If however, you need to get rid of things like flooring, furniture and general household rubble, then a household rubbish bin will be ideal.
